How can we communicate agelessness? We need to become age blind to see people as who they are rather than their age to develop a common respect. We cant be talking about ‘back in my day…’, instead we must think about today being our day, that we of 2 ages share.
These projects are growing
thinkpublic have released a new clothing range that aims to encourage discussions about public services and to help promote a more proactive relationship with them. ithinkpublic has launched with three unique t-shirt designs, all profits will go back into the public services through a dedicated fund.
The real work experience aims to open design graduates' eyes to the opportunities of using their skills beyond the usual design roles and the possibility of working in the public sector. Concurrently, the programme aims to educate public sector bodies on the skills and value designers can bring to their organisations.
Public service thank you is a movement to encourage appreciation and thanks to all the people doing fabulous things in public service roles. Public Service Thankyou is a space to say thank you to people working in public services, especially those we normally forget.
We all want good public services. When we get them we say thank you. When we're disappointed we should say "wouldn't it be better if...?"
thinkpublic and Ideal Government invite everyone to help design better public services in a new competition called Mind the Gap. It's for designers and for anyone who cares about better public services.
The Good Gym aims to connect good causes and people who want to get fit. It will help community and public sector organisations, charities and individuals by supplementing and supporting their services in small ways.
It will help people who want to get fit by giving them meaningful places to run to and by connecting them with good causes in their area.
